Dulsanna, as I was trying to reserve the July book, I found a different one that is really fascinating, also by Jane Kirkpatrick, and I wondered if we had ever read it? It's called Where Lilacs Still Bloom and is about Hulda Klager (of Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens near Woodland.)

We've not read it, but sounds like a great tile for our 2016 list. I've not heard of the lilac gardens, and would like to learn more.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to have it as our April book, and have a field trip to the gardens. Prime time is April 16 to Mother's Day. I've seen the sign for years and always intended to stop someday! Sue
